Our client is a renowned Canadian cleaning and building maintenance company is looking for a strong #payroll coordinator to join the team .

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

  • 300+ salaried, hourly and contract employees, (union and non unionized)
  • Lead the year-end payroll processing cycle. Reporting and filing all government remittances and year end accounting needs
  • Ensuring that all filings, deductions and dues have been handled according to legislation
  • Developing and maintaining the payroll procedures and policies
  • Identify and implement the appropriate process improvements when needed
  • Working with HR in processing new hires, transfers, terminations and benefits
  • Ensuring proper controls are monitored and maintained
  • Calculate, enter, and audit retroactive pay adjustments as required
  • Prepare and file Records of Employment (ROE)
  • Import Payroll data, as well as audit and reconcile reports to validate Payroll data
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve inquiries related to pay
  • Full life cycle administration of hourly and salary national payrolls including hires, terminations, salary changes etc.

YOU BRING WITH YOU:

  • Payroll certified with post secondary education in accounting and finance
  • 5+ years of experience in a high volume environment
  • Use of QuickBooks is a must, as well as, solid excel skills
  • Bilingual French/ English an asset
